And They're Off - Spring Racing Carnival
Victoria's Spring Racing Carnival showcases 50 days of world-class thoroughbred racing in a party atmosphere unmatched by any other Australian sporting event. Incorporating 90 race meetings across the state, last year more than 715,000 people including many international and interstate visitors, attended the Spring Racing Carnival which injected over $513 million into the Victorian economy.
The Spring Racing Carnival puts Victoria on the international map with its high-quality racing and influx of international competitors and visitors each year. The BMW Caulfield Cup at Caulfield, Tatts Cox Plate at Moonee Valley and Emirates Melbourne Cup at Flemington highlight the carnival and are complemented by featured country meetings in all parts of Victoria.
