From the team behind Park Street Pasta & Wine (PSPW) in South Melbourne, Osteria Renata is a new Italian you will find on High Street, Prahan, hotly anticipated with ‘osteria’ meaning “a small place serving wine and simple food”.
The venue design was overseen by Nick Cox of Projects of Imagination, and sees new banquettes installed to accommodate 58 seated guests comfortably, with a semi-private table for up to 10 guests for private dining functions. In the warmer months, the outdoor courtyard – the private Prosecco Garden – can be enjoyed by groups up to 25 guests.
A dedicated pasta lab will feature a ‘Sfogline’, the extruding, rolling and folding of fresh artisan pasta, with plans to introduce ‘fatto a mano’ pasta-making workshops in the dedicated space using the Botenne Fratelli PM 80 extruder later in the year.
The bar menu offers a classic range, alongside an inventive range of signature Italian themed cocktails, Italian and Australian craft beers, in addition to new and old world wine varietals to please the most discerning of palates.
Open for dinner from Tuesday to Saturday and lunch on Fridays and Saturdays, Osteria Renata will be an exciting new edition to High Street Prahran.
