The Big & Bold Foodservice Expo Returns To Melbourne

Over 3 days – 27 February to 01 March, 2022 –  the Foodservice Australia expo will call the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre home. It returns bigger and bolder after a 24 month hiatus that saw the hospitality industry close down and endure months of continued lockdowns and restricted trading due to the impact of the Covid pandemic in Australia.

Open to visitors who work in a food or hospitality business, at this year’s exhibition you can discover and connect with over 450 exhibitors spanning the latest commercial equipment, food innovation and beverages. Special events include the annual Chef of the Year (where chefs compete against each other in a series of heats for the title), the National Restaurant Conference, Café School, Aged Care Catering Summit, The Sweet Spot – a demonstration stage showing patisserie, gelato and chocolate, and the Chef Success Workshop.

The Speciality Producers Pavilion is the go to spot to explore new products, and a new area, Plant Base, has been launched for the 2022 exhibition. Plant Base was created from the rising popularity in demand for vegan and animal free products and its here you can witness new plant-based ingredients, baked goods and beverages.

You will want to put aside a few hours to fully explore the exhibition. There is a lot of ground to cover (wear comfortable shoes), wonderful vendors to meet, stories to hear, plus a smorgasbord of new products to discover and sample.

You can feel the energy of an industry that was hurting badly during the pandemic now turning the corner, alive with the possibilities that this year will bring to the hospitality industry as a whole.

To experience all that Foodservice Australia has to offer, and if you work in food or have a hospitality business, get on to the website and register for your free ticket.
