Built in 1938 with a long and defined history in various guises that have included a Russian ballroom, a punk bar and tree top tea shop, a wax museum, Big Mouth was established in 1993. A reknowned St Kilda icon with its prime positioning at the entrance to St Kilda's playground in Acland Street, Big Mouth is housed in a stylish art deco building that spans two levels and is perfect for corporate and private functions and events alike.
With 25 years experience, Big Mouth knows a thing or two about hosting functions and events. With four event spaces available for cocktail events, product launches, weddings, engagement parties, business functions, fundraisers and a whole lot more, Big Mouth offers flexibility and choice to ensure an exceptional event experience.
There are private and semi-private options available and a late licence (3 am).
ACAPULCO BAR
With your very own private bartender, the Acapulco Bar is semi-private with booth style seating, an intimate space that is suitable for 20-30 guests.
ACLAND LOUNGE
Suitable for around 10-15 guests, the Acland Lounge is a cosy and intimate space with a beautiful log fire for cooler months and casual couch seating.
BOOTH LOUNGE
The Booth Lounge is ideal for cocktail style events up to 100 guests, with bench seating and high tables so guests can mingle and network with ease.
THE BALLROOM
Suitable for cocktail style or banquet style events, and available for exclusive use, the Ballroom suits events up to 170 guests.
